What is RTT?
RTT stands for Rapid Transformational Therapy and is a form of hypnotherapy created by world-renowned hypnotherapist, Marisa Peer. After decades of observing her clients and discovering which techniques provided the fastest and most effective results, Marisa consolidated all of her findings into one powerful methodology that is now taught all over the world.

RTT draws on techniques from a range of therapeutic areas including traditional psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, hypnotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and mindfulness.
How does RTT work?
RTT uses a completely personalized approach and works by accessing your subconscious mind, allowing you to uncover and reframe limiting beliefs, behavioural patterns, emotional blocks and traumas – many of which may have been present since childhood.

By getting to the root cause of the presenting problem and understanding its connection to past experiences, you are then able to dismantle old and unhelpful beliefs that have formed and replace them with new and empowering ones. A customised audio recording is provided to allow new neural pathways to develop in the brain, leading to rapid and lasting transformation!
How is RTT different from other therapies?
Unlike other therapies which focus solely on the presenting problem or issue, RTT helps you discover the origin of your beliefs, behaviours and thought patterns that have created the issue through the power of hypnosis. Employing a unique set of tools and techniques, RTT supports you in transforming your current situation by releasing anything that is holding you back and installing a new inspiring, positive belief system instead.

RTT has been described as “practical neuroplasticity”, meaning it allows the mind to modify, change and adapt in order to create a new awareness and perspective to propel you into a new reality.

RTT vs. Traditional Hypnotherapy: Both utilise hypnosis to access the subconscious mind, however traditional hypnotherapy will often take longer (usually 6 – 10 sessions) and uses “convincers” and positive reinforcement to evoke behavioural change. Because RTT gets to the root cause of the issue, you don’t need convincing, because you have a full understanding and awareness of how these beliefs and behaviours were formed and are able to let them go. This means real change can happen a lot faster, with lasting results!

RTT vs. NLP: While both methodologies can help you understand the belief systems of your conscious and subconscious mind and teach you how to better dialogue with them, RTT has the added (and crucial) step of directly accessing the source of the presenting problem, allowing you to remove any blocks and reframe old and outdated beliefs that are keeping you stuck. Only after this stage is a new, positive inner dialogue created with truly transformational effects, due to the formation of new neural pathways in the brain.

RTT vs. Meditation: While there are similarities between hypnosis and guided meditation such as accessing an equivalent brain-wave state, meditation tends to be a much lighter relaxation technique in directing the mind’s attention and awareness. Hypnosis utilises deepening and suggestibility techniques that have a more focused intention towards a specific goal or desired outcome, leading to more significant and profound shifts in your life.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Many people have initial concerns that they can’t be hypnotised. They may have tried before and been unsuccessful, or they feel that they have a very active brain and struggle to relax. It’s normal when you start something new that the conscious mind will be overly active and want to analyse what’s going on. Don’t be put off by this!

If you have ever been driving on a very familiar route and realised later that you can’t remember the details of your journey, or been watching a movie and ended up “tuning out” of your environment, this is a form of hypnosis. You simply entered a trancelike state which means the conscious mind has quietened down, but your subconscious mind is still in control.

Anyone can experience hypnosis, and if you are utilising self-hypnosis audios, it may just take a little practice to get used to it. This doesn’t mean you need to try harder – the opposite in fact! The less pressure and effort applied, the better the result. Listening to a hypnosis audio daily is incredibly beneficial because the mind learns through repetition. The more you practice, the easier it gets. Set yourself up in a quiet, calm environment where you won’t be disturbed and focus on the feelings and sensations that arise!
Is hypnotherapy safe?
Yes! Hypnotherapy is a safe and natural therapeutic technique. During a hypnotherapy session you are always in control, and you cannot be made to do anything against your will. It's a collaborative process where you're guided to access your own inner resources for healing and growth.

RTT is considered a form of practical neuroplasticity, meaning that it can change and rewire neural networks in the brain, allowing the mind to function in new and improved ways and promote healing in the body.

It is important to note however that there are specific medical conditions where hypnotherapy would not be appropriate, such as psychosis and epilepsy. The change in brain wave state during hypnosis could trigger an episode, so this must only be done under close medical supervision. RTT Therapists are not medical doctors and do not prescribe medication nor advise clients to come off medication unless they are qualified to do so.

How many sessions will I need to see results?
The number of sessions varies depending on an individual’s needs and goals. While some clients experience significant shifts after just one session, others may require additional sessions and/or ongoing coaching for a deeper transformation.

How does coaching complement hypnotherapy?
Having me as a coach over a 3 or 6 month period means you are truly setting yourself up for success by receiving ongoing support, guidance and accountability after your hypnotherapy session. While we can create profound shifts in your subconscious during a single session, it is up to you to begin implementing these changes in your day to day life and often clients can struggle with what to do next or how to implement these changes on their own.

What can I expect during a hypnotherapy session?
My hypnotherapy sessions are done in two parts. Firstly, we’ll have a 45 minute Zoom or phone consult where we explore your presenting problem, how it’s showing up in your life and what you want to experience instead.

A few days later we do the hypnotherapy session itself (either in person or via Zoom), where you'll be guided into a relaxed state of hypnosis to access the subconscious mind. Here we’ll explore the root cause of your issue, reframe any old beliefs that are no longer serving you and create new neural pathways that support your goals and desires. At the end you’ll receive a customized audio recording to listen to for a minimum of 21 days after the session, allowing these new neural pathways to crystallize and form the basis of your transformation.

Hypnotherapy is a profoundly insightful and reflective experience, and even though you’re deeply relaxed, you’ll remain fully aware and in control the entire time. Consider it a sleep of the body and nervous system, while your mind remains lucid and alert!
Can hypnotherapy be done online?
Yes! Hypnotherapy is not limited to in person only. Provided you have a strong internet connection and you won’t be disturbed during your session, online hypnotherapy is incredibly effective and has the added convenience of being accessible anywhere in the world from the comfort of your home. I have worked with clients both interstate and overseas who have achieved fantastic results from their online sessions!

How can I prepare for a hypnotherapy or coaching session?
Before your session, it's helpful to set clear intentions and goals for what you'd like to achieve. Ensure you're well-rested and hydrated, and if you’re doing the session online, make sure you’re in a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed – that includes children, pets, and the delivery man!

Most importantly, come with an open heart and mind, ready to embrace this exciting and transformative journey! If you are new to meditation and hypnosis and are concerned about your ability to relax, audio recordings can be provided to help prepare you for the best experience possible.

Where are you located?
I live in the western suburbs of Melbourne, Australia where I offer in person hypnotherapy sessions at my home office. If you wish to have a session in person, the address will be supplied upon booking.
Do you offer any sort of guarantee?
As with any form of therapy or coaching, it really comes down to the dedication and commitment of the client first and foremost. I can give you all the tools, tips and strategies on the planet, but if you’re not implementing them and taking aligned action, you’re not going to get to where you want to be! And I’m not here to waste your time or mine. If you are serious about making changes in your life and are ready to put in the work, then that’s exactly the right attitude to ensure amazing results!

What’s your refund and cancellation policy?
Single hypnotherapy sessions: 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule a session. If more than 48 hours notice is given the session can be rescheduled, or a refund provided minus a $50 cancellation fee. If less that 48 hours notice is given, no refund will be provided and the session will be forfeited.

Hypnotherapy & Coaching packages: 24 hours notice is required to reschedule an individual session within the package. If you choose to cancel prior to the completion of your package, a pro rata refund may be issued for any unused sessions.
